PTO Thanks to Hillside Nursery for the Pumpkins, and to all the volunteers that made this celebration a success!!
Council Update
Your PTO Council had its second meeting tonight (Oct 6th). There are too many exciting things to mention in one post, but here are some highlights:
October 16th -- S'mores and more celebration for good behavior is going to be AWESOME!!
October 20th --Plan to attend the next full PTO meeting...tons of new info plus some treats.
We are putting together a PLAYGROUND committee to work closely with maintenance in regards to a long-term plan for better play areas/equipment. This committee will obtain grants, raise funds, and coordinate the installation of new equipment.
Our new "Bylaws" are ready for review. We are moving forward to apply for a 501c3 tax status. These will be e-mail out and published soon. We may vote on these on the 20th.
We are also planning several new things for teachers and parents for this year and next.

Gearing up!!
The PTO Council is meeting again soon. Our next actual PTO group meeting is on October 20th at 6:30. If you have any ideas that we need to discuss, please e-mail us at: demorestpto@windstream.net. Our PTO blog is now ranked very high in Google search (no. 1 if you type in Demorest PTO). We have already had a great response in the way of volunteers for many things, I am sure that we will be plugging everyone in soon. We will be announcing some upcoming fund-raising efforts very soon. Now that we are moving full steam ahead, this blog will be updated with great frequency, feel free to subscribe or check in often. THANKS!!
