Welcome Back for the 2009-2010 School Year!!
Summer was SHORT! The PTO committee has already met twice this year and is putting together several BIG events. We always need help...if you are interested, please e-mail: demorestpto@windstream.net .
Last year we introduced this blog-based site to increase communication. Our hope is that we see it used more frequently (we had more hits from foreign countries than from Habersham County).

Nine Weeks CELEBRATION!!
PTO Thanks to Hillside Nursery for the Pumpkins, and to all the volunteers that made this celebration a success!!
Council Update
Your PTO Council had its second meeting tonight (Oct 6th). There are too many exciting things to mention in one post, but here are some highlights:
October 16th -- S'mores and more celebration for good behavior is going to be AWESOME!!
October 20th --Plan to attend the next full PTO meeting...tons of new info plus some treats.
We are putting together a PLAYGROUND committee to work closely with maintenance in regards to a long-term plan for better play areas/equipment. This committee will obtain grants, raise funds, and coordinate the installation of new equipment.
Our new "Bylaws" are ready for review. We are moving forward to apply for a 501c3 tax status. These will be e-mail out and published soon. We may vote on these on the 20th.
We are also planning several new things for teachers and parents for this year and next.
